Big Bend 2021

In late May 2021, I cut a path to one of the most remote national parks. Alongside Cornell Master's student and good friend Tony Alvarado, I trapped, identified, and catalogued kissing bugs to best assess the risk the bugs pose to National Park staff.

Over eleven weeks, we collected ~150 bugs around NPS housing!

Along the way, I had the fantastic opportunity to explore the stunning biodiversity of the desert! Check out some of my best photos below!
